The information collected by Carbon is dependent on the registration method chosen by the user. Users creating accounts with MetaMask will not be required to provide any personal identifiable data.

Personal data posted publicly on Carbon is at the discretion of the user. We do not collect personal data for any internal use or to be provided to third parties. What a user posts on their Carbon social feed, is publicly viewable.

Private data such as direct messages are not viewable by public users, nor by the Carbon team, and hence the encrypted data cannot be used in any way. Carbon do not hold the keys to decrypt any encrypted private data. The data posted by a user on their public social profile will be viewable to all website visitors, with or without a registered Carbon account.

You may request deletion of your Carbon account at any time, in which case all of your Carbon data and your Carbon account itself will be deleted. If you delete your Carbon account, copies of your data may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied by other Carbon users.

Carbon collects cumulative data from all users for analytics purposes, intended to improve the Carbon platform speed and functionality. This data is not personal or identifiable. For example Carbon may collect statistical information on the number of users on the platform and number of visits to Carbon  topics. This data cannot be used to identify any user or their Carbon activity. The analytical data will not be provided to any third parties. Carbon does not collect user IP addresses or location data. Carbon has taken steps and offer various options to ensure the security of your public and private data. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Decentralised data storage such as cryptocurrency transactions will be stored on the Binance Smart Chain blockchain. We do not store any encryption keys on our servers and thus, encrypted private data is not accessible and cannot be decrypted via our servers.

The safety and security of user data also falls on the user. Most information on the Carbon website is publicly viewable, as is the nature of public social posts. Users are responsible for safeguarding any login credentials or keys for account access.

Carbon will do our best to protect your data but we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. Carbon are not responsible for any circumvention of privacy or security measures contained on Carbon.

Carbon cannot access your MetaMask wallet or cryptocurrency holdings and MetaMask is used strictly for user authentication purposes. User Conduct and Content Restrictions

As a user of Carbon you must agree to post content that is acceptable under Australian laws. Carbon shall not be held responsible or liable for any content posted by any Carbon user including social posts, comments, group posts or any other content uploaded onto Carbon.

Carbon values free speech and will hold all users equally accountable for their content.

Carbon does not allow posts featuring the following content:
1) Obscene, sexually explicit or pornographic content
2) Unlawful threatening of individuals
3) Organisation of violence or deliberate calls for lawless action
4) Scams, unlawful gambling and pyramid schemes
5) Violations of the legal rights of individuals including their rights to privacy

7) Infringements on copyrighted or patented information
8) Impersonation of individuals or organisations

10) Gratuitous violence and gore
11) Trade of illegal items
12) Use of multiple accounts or bots to abuse the points system, votes system and report system

Carbon is based in Australia and agrees to take reasonable attempts to create a lawful and enjoyable environment for all users. Carbon users are offered the ability to report posts for review by the Carbon team in accordance with Australian laws and Terms of Service. Should a reported post be deemed to be in violation of the Terms of Service, it will be removed.

Carbon reserves the right to remove users based on serious deliberate or repeated violations of the above rules.

Given the nature of Carbon and its cryptocurrency features, we do allow posting about cryptocurrency, token sales and trading of cryptocurrency. Carbon takes no responsibility for the content posted by any Carbon user in any section of Carbon and does not endorse any content posted on Carbon. Users agree to be held solely responsibility for their actions and decisions based on any content found on Carbon.

Carbon accepts no responsibility or liability for external links posted by its users. Please check the links carefully before visiting.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers of any claims, liabilities, damages, losses or fees (including legal fees) relating to any violation of these Terms of Service or your use of the Carbon website, including but not limited to contributions to the Carbon website or any use of the website’s content, services, and products or your use or any information obtained from the Carbon website.
